I love any opportunity to offer specific and targeted election and voting information. Helping listeners stay up to date on information they need to get registered and guide them through the voting process inspires me. When getting appropriate resources out to people in an engaging way, my goal is to combat apathy toward our democratic process and help people feel less intimidated or overwhelmed by the process.
As a female political voice actor, I’m often asked to be the literal voice of reason. Although many attack and comparison ads still favor authoritative voices, I’m often asked to provide a youthful, more compassionate perspective, or even a gender-neutral approach signaling that the message is for everyone, regardless of gender.
I’m also very aware of how African American Women have played pivotal roles in social media advocacy, voter mobilization, advocacy for Black communities across the Diaspora, women’s rights, active involvement in the political process, and galvanizing historic voter turnout over the years.
