I’m Voicing Aramis (Inès) in The 3 Musketeers Animated Series!

The 3 musketeers are bound by sisterhood in this new re-imagined animated series featuring female musketeers.

Some characters have been inspiring audiences for nearly 200 years. Getting to lend my voice to one of them is an amazing opportunity!

I’m thrilled to be part of this exciting new animated series bringing Alexandre Dumas’ classic story to a whole new generation of kids!

The 3 Musketeers (Les 3 Mousquetaires) is a 52-episode CGI animated adventure series co-produced by Method Animation and Palomar, two of Europe’s most celebrated animation studios, and is now available to watch for free on Wonderland Junior TV on YouTube!

How do you voice a character everyone already knows?

This modern reimagining of Alexandre Dumas’ beloved 1844 novel brings a bold and exciting twist to one of the most iconic adventure stories ever told.

These skilled Musketeers are brave young girls in disguise! Together, d’Artagnan, Athos, Porthos, and Aramis defend young King Louis XIII while learning the true meaning of loyalty, courage, teamwork, and standing up for what’s right.

As a voice actor who loves voicing adventurous, determined young characters, this role felt like a perfect fit from the moment I stepped into the session.

Giving Inès / Aramis a Voice

I give an English voice to Inès, the character inspired by the legendary Aramis, one of the iconic original Three Musketeers. Inès is a master of words and the whip. She brings a unique energy to the team, and giving her a voice that feels authentic, relatable, and genuinely kid-credible was a great creative challenge.

I voice boy characters often, but voicing a girl who takes on a boy persona feels particularly relatable. I also love that this series gives girl characters the opportunity to display qualities often associated with boy characters like confidence, assertiveness, problem-solving, and bravery. Brave girl characters can help young girl viewers build self-esteem, agency, and the confidence to navigate their real world.

It’s also a fun challenge to dub a French animation series for a broader audience. Dubbing is much more than matching words to lip movements or voice matching timed words in a different language. It’s about preserving the emotion, humor, and personality of the original performance while making it feel completely fresh, natural, and relatable for English-speaking audiences.

My favorite thing about this series overall is how naturally it balances adventure, comedy and heart for global audiences.

A Classic Story, Reimagined for Today

One of the most exciting challenges of voicing a character rooted in such iconic history is honoring what makes the original so beloved while making her feel accessible to a new audience being introduced to these characters for the first time.

Aramis in the original story is known for being clever, loyal, and multifaceted, and Inès carries those same qualities into this new world. Finding that balance between honoring the legacy of the character and making her feel genuinely new was something I appreciated the opportunity to do.

Stories like these survive for centuries because the characters never stop feeling relevant.

What I love most about playing “Aramis” is that she represents something bigger than just a character in an adventure story. She is both a role model to aspire to and a nuanced character kid audiences can learn from.

As a voice actor who is deeply passionate about diverse representation in media, being part of a show that puts girls at the center of one of literature’s greatest adventure tales is incredibly meaningful to me. It means more children have the opportunity to see themselves as heroes in stories that have inspired audiences for generations.

Bringing characters like Aramis to life is one of the reasons I love working in children’s animation. Creating content for young audiences continues to be one of my favorite parts of my voiceover career.
